Englewood Cliffs 3rd Annual Community Night Out A Huge Success

For the 3rd year in a row, Englewood Cliffs held its Community Night Out. This year the Borough held Community Night out on June 19th at Witte field, instead of holding it in August, as they did for the past two years. The event was a huge success. This year there were more attendees than the year before, with over 700 adults and children having a great time for over 31⁄2 hours from 6:00pm – 9:30pm. One thing was for sure: almost all night long there was an abundance of food, with a steady stream of attendees on line waiting to be served. Whether flipping hamburgers or hotdogs on the grill, dishing out salad, or handing out cotton candy or popcorn, everyone working the event were volunteer residents which made the event that much more special. Of course we can’t forget the ice cream donated by Unilever which is a yearly staple that everyone, especially the children, look forward to.

And thank you to all the other sponsors who so generously gave, making this Community event possible with no cost to the taxpayers -Parkway Toyota, Maser, EC Exxon, LG, Aboudi Realty, 111 Charlotte, PA PBA, Bergen Protective Systems, ALPS, 55 Dreamland, EC Veterinary and Quantum. A very special thank you to Drown the Clown owners/residents Maribel and Joe Liberti, who put their heart and soul into helping us make this event such a success! Adults danced away to a variety of music including oldies and Donna Summer and they socialized at picnic tables, ate free food and the children enjoyed free rides and games. At the end of the evening there was a raffle prize donated by LG for an LG Stylus that went to one lucky resident. “This event was possible thanks to the community working together” stated Council President McMorrow. “It is an honor to be a part of such wonderful events for our residents and see everyone together, make new friends and have a good time”.
