On Sunday April 22 and April 29, Englewood Cliffs started a new tennis pilot program for all levels including beginners, intermediate and advanced players. Englewood Cliffs resident and professional tennis player, Christina McHale, kicked off the program with a Q&A session for our residents at the community center on April 15. This program is led by residents Don Yee and George Lee. This program will run through the beginning of June. Following this pilot program, Englewood Cliffs is looking to potentially start round robin opportunities for residents to come out and meet playing partners at his or her level.
The program is using all five tennis courts with one court being allocated for ball machine practice. A second court is being used to teach the beginners the fundamentals of tennis. The last three courts are being used to pair up players of similar playing abilities. The program is run by volunteers and if you have any interest in playing or helping, please do not hesitate to contact the Englewood Cliffs recreation director at email@example.com.
